Dr. Josh Fink, our Head Instructor, is a Board-Certified Internist with over 20 years of clinical experience in aesthetic medicine. A former Co-Director of both the Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units, Dr. Fink also served as Director of the Clinical Trial and Research Department, where his team played a key role in the development and FDA approval of several groundbreaking medications now used in Surgery and Oncology. A graduate of The State University of New york Downstate Medical Center, he completed his Residency and Fellowships at George Washington University, The Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, Cornell and Beth israel Medical Center.
Dr Fink is considered a 'Key Opinion Leader" and is a national speaker on GLP-1 science and clinical applications for Eli Lilly, and frequently shares his insights at numerous meetings, including The Aesthetic Show in las vegas as well as LA-MCA in Beverly Hills.
While successfully running a thriving concierge internal medicine and aesthetic practice, Dr. Fink remains deeply committed to medical education. He continues to teach PGY-2 and PGY-3 residents through hands-on “Teaching Rounds” at the hospital and previously taught “Medical Concepts for Undergraduates” at the State University of New York, where he was honored with the Presidential Teaching Award. His dedication to elevating standards of care led to his local community hospital being recognized as a Center of Excellence and earned him the prestigious Health Care Hero Award from Westchester Magazine.
Dr. Fink has trained physicians in advanced filler and neuromodulator techniques across the United States, Australia, and Asia. Having witnessed the remarkable growth of non-surgical aesthetics firsthand, he brings a unique perspective shaped by decades of experience. When he first began performing injectable treatments, very few non-core physicians — let alone RNs, NPs, or PAs — were practicing in the field. Today, the majority of non-surgical aesthetic procedures are performed by advanced practice providers, yet standardized, high-level training remains inconsistent.
This gap in uniform, safety-focused education is what drives Dr. Fink’s teaching philosophy. As he often states:
“As an injector, you will ultimately be judged by the highest standard of care if a complication arises. Mastering facial ultrasound is one of the most powerful tools available to keep your patients safe.”
Facial ultrasound empowers injectors to:
-
Visualize the depth and location of major vessels
-
Identify additional or anomalous vascular structures in the treatment area
-
Detect the presence of previously injected filler
-
Determine the precise tissue plane for optimal filler placement
-
Document vascular flow before and after treatment
-
Recognize early signs of potential vascular occlusion
-
Accurately localize the injection site if hyaluronidase reversal is required
By combining clinical excellence, academic rigor, and advanced imaging technology, Dr. Fink’s training programs equip injectors with the knowledge and confidence to deliver safer, more precise, and consistently superior aesthetic outcomes.
