Sign-in brief welcome and housekeeping (restrooms,
phones on silent, materials provided).
9:05 – 9:15 AM
Review of the
Course Goals
10 min
Overview of learning objectives, what participants will
be able to do by the end of the session, and how facial
ultrasound improves safety and outcomes in aesthetic
practice.
9:15 – 9:40 AM
Review of Facial
Vascular Anatomy
25 min
High-yield ultrasound anatomy of key facial vessels
(supraorbital, supratrochlear, angular, facial, temporal,
etc.), safe injection zones, and ultrasound landmarks.
9:40 – 10:05 AM
Clinical Situations
Where Facial
Ultrasound Made a
Difference
25 min
Real-world case examples (vascular occlusion, filler
migration, nodules, vascular anomalies, post-procedure
complications). Emphasis on how ultrasound changed
management and prevented or resolved adverse events.
10:05 – 10:30 AM
Appearance of
Different Types of
Dermal Fillers on
Ultrasound
25 min
Ultrasound signatures of common fillers (hyaluronic
acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, poly-L-lactic acid, etc.).
How to identify product type, location, complications
(e.g., vascular compression), and differentiation from
native tissue.
10:30 – 12:00 PM
Preparation of the Product
15 min
Reconstitution of Botox/Dysport (dilution ratios, handling, storage), syringe preparation, and labeling best practices.
High-Value Afternoon Session:
Hands-On Practical Training (1:00 PM – 3:30 PM)
Practical Component: 3 hours 45 minutes of supervised hands-on injecting

1:00 – 1:15 PM
Introduction to
Ultrasound-Guided
HA Filler Reversal
15 Mins
Rationale for using ultrasound in filler dissolution,
review of hyaluronidase dosing and technique, safety
considerations, and expected ultrasound findings
before/after reversal.
1:15 – 5:00 PM
Hands-On Practical:
Ultrasound- Guided HA Filler
Reversal
2 hrs 15 min
Participants practice ultrasound-guided injection of
hyaluronidase to reverse/dissolve hyaluronic acid filler
using a tissue simulation model (cooked chicken breast
prepared with injected HA filler).
Stations will allow practice in:
-
Identifying and localizing HA filler deposits under ultrasound
-
Precise needle guidance and hyaluronidase delivery
-
Monitoring real-time dissolution effects
-
Troubleshooting common challenges (e.g., probe handling, gel application, needle visualization)
-
Instructor(s) circulate to provide individualized feedback, tips for optimizing images, and clinical correlation to live patient scenarios.
-
Multiple models available for repeated practice.
(Model consent forms and privacy guidelines providedin advance.)
